The Arizona Derby Dames has been one of the world's largest and fastest growing all-girl roller derby leagues for four full seasons. With five teams and a roster of over one hundred women, the Arizona Derby Dames held their fourth season in one of the largest venues being used for roller derby in the world, Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix. Former home of the Phoenix Suns, the Coliseum hosted the Arizona Derby Dames for their monumental fourth season. The Derby Dames take a giant leap forward once again, bringing banked track roller derby to Phoenix for their 5th season in 2010. The Coliseum hosts double header Arizona Derby Dames banked track roller derby games monthly in 2010. Fans of all ages attend Arizona Derby Dames events. Kids 12 and under are always free which means a large family audience. Multiple generations come to cheer on their favorite teams - The Schoolyard Scrappers, The Runaway Brides, The Bombshells, The Brutal Beauties and The Coffin Draggers. The Arizona Derby Dames also give back to their community. Efforts of the women in the league have benefited St. Vincent DePaul's food bank, the Arizona Coalition for Domestic Violence, the Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family Christmas program, the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, the Second Harvest Food Bank, the ANASAZI Foundation, the Manna House, the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix and the national Keep-A-Breast organization which benefits breast cancer research and many other charitable organizations.
