Does anyone have wheels they want to sell. I have very hard slippery ones now and they suck! Another fresh meat skater let me try her skates last week and she had queen bee wheels and I could really notice how much better and sure footed I skated so if anyone has wheels for sale please call me 602 446-2453.
They don't have to be queen bee just not hard ones like I have.

Thanks,

I also have some red flat outs that you can just have. they are old but still work decent. at least til you can get some brand new wheels for yourself. Cool I will try to gather them before practice tonight. Come check with me! Wink

Any suggestions for indoor wheels while we are on the subject? My skates came with Radar Cayman wheels. I used them the other day to skate outside, they did okay but i am going to need a new set of indoor wheelss

you need softer outdoor wheels for outdoors if you want a smoother, lower impact skate. Cool indoor wheels are at your preference. Maybe get with Nacho about indoor wheels, she always has a plethora of suggestions Wink

You don't have to have outdoor wheels to skate outside. But they are made so that they glide over rocks and such. Indoor wheels will hit them hard and you can fall more. But you don't have to have them. Lots of people have used their first set of shitty wheels for outdoor skating. Cool

Nacho is a good person to talk to about that. Also if you go to any of the websites selling derby equipment a lot of the wheels have info on them too. What floors the wheel work best with that sort of information. A lot of the girls use the Atom G-rods for the the coliseum. They have a hardness of 93a(pretty grippy) I have a pair of Atom Omegas with the same hardness and I loved them but I wore them out pretty quickly.

Or call Ivanna @ Sin City Skates. Explain where you practice & bout at and she will recommend the best wheels for you. She is full of good info on equipment.

On the Coaches Forum I am on, they were all discussing Fresh Meat and Wheels. They said yes as Fresh Meat you need to upgrade your wheels as soon as you can afford it and to start off with something like a Turner or Flat Out. Then once you mastered that and you are looking to perform better and get faster, then you can look into better options, more expensive wheels that will help you get to the next level. But that you should wait until you have mastered the Turner or Flat Outs... Just FYI.

I just bought some G-RODS. I was told that they will work great on the banked track plus they are good for the surfaces we are playing on now. Which was what I was looking for because I don't want to have to buy another set when we get the banked track!

I got mine from Pro's Edge (They are at our bouts). Make sure you tell them you are a Derby Dame because we get a discount. You can find them a little cheaper online but then you have to pay for shipping and wait for them! Once the shipping is added in they're the same price anyways. I've skated on them twice and they are awesome! Super grippy which really helps me on the corners! A lot of the girls are using them now. They are the white wheels.

Hope that helps! Very Happy

I am a huge fan of the G-Rods. I used the D-Rods when we were at Castle b/c they are made for sport court. The G-Rods are made for smooth surfaces and they work really well on the banked track...that is when your truck doesn't snap off. Smile

The G-Rods are pricey-apx. $98-but to me, they are well worth it. Answer (the manufacturer) has just released another version called "Lowboys". They come in narrows which is great for jammers. Goody has a set and she said that they are awesome. They are a lil bit more money though-apx. $120.

As far as outdoor wheels go, if you can afford to get an outdoor set, I would suggest it. Indoor wheels are way softer and will chunk which might cause you to fall. You don't need to invest a lot of money in outdoor wheels.

There are several skate sites out there. Michelle from Pro Edge is awesome and she is a former Beauty therefore you are supporting a league vendor and league mate. Sin City is also a great site. Trish knows her equipment. I also use Skate Mall. Scott is my contact there and he is really good and helpful as well.
